Textile Exchange 

Since 2019, Takihyo Co., Ltd. has been a member of “Textile Exchange”, an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving sustainability in the apparel and textile industries.
“Textile Exchange” is a non-profit organization based in Texas, USA, that holds various certification standards. The organization was formerly known as Organic Exchange, and is responsible for the creation and management of certification standards for organic cotton, wool, and down fabrics, including the “Global Recycled Standard” (GRS), which we are currently certified under.
By joining this organization, we will enhance the transparency and credibility of our materials and strengthen our sustainable business.

ACQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS


Global Recycled Standard (GRS) 

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a certification standard that verifies the percentage of recycled [content/raw material] and traces it from [source/recycler] to the final product.


Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) 

Containing at least 70% certified organic natural fibers (wool, linen, etc., in addition to cotton). Includes an audit covering ethical aspects.


Organic Content Standard (OCS) 

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is a certification standard that verifies organic [content/ingredients] and tracks them from source to finished product.


Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) 

The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a certification standard that verifies animal welfare and land management requirements for supplied [wool fiber] and tracks it from farm to finished product.

Considered the world’s most stringent standard, acquiring this certification verifies adherence to the world’s highest levels of consumer safety, minimal impact on workers and the environment, and conservation of resources.
